Money and why are people so stupid about it?

Back before this mess of a recession started, I told my hubby that we really needed to put our money in to proper order and that I would soon be laid off of my job as a construction worker.. Because I said, the market cannot stand too much more of this crap that is going on.. And that there was going to be a housing bubble and it was going to collapse and collapse hard. Well he did not believe me but he did do what I asked him to do.. And that was to pay all of our bills off and see where we can cut the budget to see if we can get through this without too much pain. And I will say it did seem to work.. But as I look around, I see that people did not learn from their past mistakes.. I know of a few people, that as soon as they thought the economy was doing better the first thing they did is go back in to dept. Sign up for new credit cards,buy new cars and refinance their houses "that they almost lost" to buy more crap they don't need. I say if you can't buy it cash don't buy it at all.
Oh, when gas started to go up I noticed that people were going for the more gas practical cars and selling off their gas guzzling SUV's but as soon as the gas went down they went right after the SUV's again. Unless you have a large family to haul around or you are a construction worker and you need the room for tools, there is no reason to have an SUV. most people that own them just want to show status.. But when I look at them I think stupid..Here we are with gas getting ready to hit the 4 dollar mark and Stew Pidass with his big SUV sitting at the pump balling because it is costing him almost 100 dollars a week to fill the damn thing up. So now he has a 550 dollar car payment and a 400 dollar gas payment a month. holy crap thats almost as much as a mortgage payment. COME ON PEOPLE WISE UP.
The Jobs out there that are being created by our dumb ass government are not the high paying white collar or even blue collar jobs but grease collar jobs, the type of job you did when you first started working. You know the ones that only paid minimum wage and no benefits. Thats what is out there.. So watch your money and be smart about it..

Should kids that commit murder face the death penalty?

As Hughstan Schlicker’s father stood in the kitchen, Hughstan approached him from behind, pointed a 12-gauge shotgun at his head and pulled the trigger. The 15-year-old Mesa, AZ, killer had a perfectly good explanation for his patricidal deed: His father had forbidden him to use the Internet.

This is the face of a killer... All because daddy would not let him play on the internet... He took a life , not just any life but the life of his own father...

The teenage squabble involved a video game and a bicycle. It blossomed into revenge during a chance encounter and ended in the near-fatal torching of a 15-year-old boy, the Broward County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.

Some of the teens charged in the attack laughed when investigators confronted them, the sheriff's office said.

Four 15-year-old boys and one 13-year-old accosted Michael Brewer of Deerfield Beach, Fla., accusing him of being a snitch for calling the cops on their leader, whom the sheriff's office identified as the local bully.

Brewer tried to leave, but the gang doused him with alcohol and set him on fire, authorities said. Flames burned 80% of his body, especially his torso and arms, and seared off much of his hair, including his eyebrows, family members said.

This is the face of the 15 year old that was burn... I wonder if the little bastards that burned him are laughing now.. They are being charged as adults...

These are just a few examples of kids that have gotten out of control and either killed or maimed another person... Should these kids not only be charged as adults but also face the death penalty like the adults do... They want to commit these crimes because they feel that there are no consequences for their actions.. And in this country there really isn't... They are sent to prison and in some cases when they turn 18 they are released.. On other if they are charged as adults they will do life.. But that means that now we the tax payers are paying for them for the rest of their lives. Once again not paying the proper price for their crimes.. I think that if a couple of these kids are made to pay the ultimate price for their crimes others would think twice before they go out and do the same.. Crime for teens would lose its luster . And you would see crimes committed by teens go way down...

Is the Fort Hood shooting a terrorist attack

You have got to be kidding me... Hell, yes it was a terrorist attack... And if people would quit tip toeing around the Muslims, we would flush out more of these terrorist... And I think before they are even allowed to enter this country they need to pledge allegiance to this country.. And if they even so much as make any contact with any organization that resembles a terror cell they get deported, no questions asked.... And if they commit an act of terror they should be put to death... Again no questions asked... Now now lets not go calling me a racist.. I would say the same thing if it were a Christian , Buddhist, or Jew... But for some reason it always seems to be Muslims that are committing these acts...I think Australia has the right idea... Assimilate or get out.. This is a Christian nation based on Christian values and we do not want sharia law or any other law that abuses one group of people and raises another group to god status...

Do fat people burden the health care system

As I walk around fairs and carnivals as well as many other public venues I can't help but notice all the heavy people in those hoveround scooter type vehicle's... And they all have one thing in common... They are fat... And you wonder if they would get up out of those chairs and get some exercise and eat less ... That what ever has them in those chairs just might go away... Now I'm not talking about the ones with legitimate leg problems... I am talking about the ones that are fat and use that as an excuse to sit in one and use up handicap spaces with their cars... And leave the real handicap people looking for a spot to go... These people take full advantage of the system ... My solution for this .. If they dont have a real problem other than they are fat they are not allowed to have a handicap marker for their car and not allowed to take up spaces with their car cause they are too lazy to walk... I do feel that they should be allowed to join a gym and a diet center so they can get in shape.. And get working and lead productive lives...

Annoying wife in the Mayors office In Kansas City

Oh my, is this the dynamic duo or the crusaders of mayhem. People in this Mayors office think the latter... Volunteering is a great thing  and I'm the first one to thank one of these urban hero's... But when you are in charge of an a large city or even a small one you can't have  your controlling spouse reek havoc at your work... This woman is a complete control freak and she makes her Spock looking hubby look like he is a dope...Last year this whack job sent out a Christmas cards describing his prostate exam.... You open a card expecting a big Happy Holidays and instead you get a full blown description of the Mayors intestinal fortitude... Not something I want to hear or read...

     Adding to this, having a domineering spouse in the Mayors office makes you wonder, Who won the election and who is control... Most spouses like this want control of every aspect of their married lives... He claims he loves it but I have to question that too. He's probably afraid to tell her the truth because she will start screaming and yelling until he gives in.. And if she is doing this at home she is most defiantly doing it at the office.....    

A Thanksgiving to our soldiers

Today I give thanks to the men and women serving in our armed forces.. These people have given a piece of their lives and some times their lives to serve our country in a time of need.... They will be away from their homes for long periods of time and will go with out showers for days not see family or friends.. They will suffer long hours with out sleep, sore feet and missions that never seem to end... Countless goodbyes and tears shed because they can't be home when their child played  his first ball game or or won the spelling bee. Or their baby took their first step...

                   Oh they will get to come home every now and then and they will have great joy while they are here.. But then there is always that time when it comes to an end and they are standing at the airport looking at their families, with tears in their eyes because they have to leave yet again... Tears for missed holidays ,birthdays and special events... But they remain happy because they got to peek in to the window as their lives here at home move on with the relentless beat of time while theirs moves on slowly waiting for the next time they can come home and look in the window again...    

                 So if you see one of these brave soles walking around this holiday season stop and thank him or her and welcome them home.. Buy them a cup of coffee a donut or maybe even lunch.... They might blush because they don't look at it like it's a big deal and they are just doing their duty.... Serve them as they serve us..., With out questions....

A 49  year old woman... Stalks and terrorizes a 13 year old who later on commits suicide. By hanging her self in her bed room closet.... This woman posed as a 16 year old boy and pretended that he liked the 13 year old... And formed a relationship with her... Later on she started to harassed the young girl and told her that this world would be better off with out her....

I think this is awfull and this woman needs to do some seriouse jail time ... But she will not ... I think she got a fine and a smack on the hand.... What do you think.? Do you think we should have stiffer laws to keep this from happening again? And what would you like to see happen to this woman.? I would like to see the bitch chewed up by wild dogs...
